The Art Museum currently functions under the aegis of the Department of Museums and Zoo. The Department of Museums and Zoos is functioning under the Administrative Control of the Cultural Affairs Department, Government of Kerala. This exceptional piece of architecture is also known as the Napier Museum. The Art section is under the immediate charge of a Superintendent assisted by a Curator and technical staff consisting of one Guide Lecture and gallery staff. A security wing of police personnel looks after the watch and ward duties during day and night. The Superintendent, Museums, is in overall control and functions under the Director who is the head of the Department of Museums, Zoos and Art Galleries.
