LAPIS LAZULI LION

Measurement: 15cm A structure of a lion made of a costly semiprecious mineral usually imported from Persia. Lapis lazuli or lapis for short is a deep blue metamorphic rock used as a semi-precious stone that has been valued since ancient times for its deep colour. This exhibit is a part of the precious collections of Sri Chitra Thirunal Bala Rama Varma Maharaja.
