ARDHANAREESWARA

Ardhanareeswara is a concept in Hindu mythology. It is a combined form of Lord Shiva and his companion Parvati. Ardhanareeshwara represents Lord Shiva’s all- pervasive nature. The exhibit is in standing posture. The Jatamakuda has Ganga and Chandra. The exhibit has three hands and a serpent rests on one of the shoulders. The image stands on a lotus pedestal.
