HANGING LAMP

This exhibit is a hanging lamp in Gajalakshmi pattern. Gajalakshmi is Goddess Lakshmi with elephants on both sides. It is one of the most significant Ashtalakshmi aspects of the Hindu Goddess Lakshmi. These hanging lamps have long chains in order to hang them. Here, in this particular hanging lamp Lord Ganesha with prabha can be seen at the bottom of the chain. Garuda decked with ornaments can also be seen just above Lord Ganesha.
